Nepenthes Mirabilis

Nepenthes mirabilis is an excellent candidate for a lowland terrarium because of it's small size and love of hot, humid conditions similar to it's native swampy habitats. Since mirabilis is the most widespread Nepenthes spanning habitats from Vietnam to Australia, it's not suprising that it has numerous forms. Most forms generally have cylindrical pitchers colored green to partial red. N. mirabilis is an easy to grow carnivorous plant that flowers fairly frequently compared to other Nepenthes and can provide a lot of joy for the plant lover with limited growing space to grow the larger lowland plants.
