Cephalotus

Cephalotus, the Australian Pitcher Plant, inhabits permenently damp areas on the edges of swamps in a thin coastal strip around Esperence Bay in the southwest tip of Australia. It is a monotypic genus that grows compact clumps of bristly pitchers and sometimes non-carnivorous leaves. Cephalotus follicularis grows in sandy peat in warm, dry summers and cool, wet winters.
